Brut Grande cuvée

COLOUR :

Pale golden yellow that is intense, sparkling, and perfectly transparent, delicately tinted with a light halo of bronze. A complete flourish of bubbles that are nicely persistent.

NOSE :

Fine, complex, and delicate, with generous fruit aromas, including white peach, quince, and currant, and the slightest hint of white flowers.

PALATE :

Ample, fine, and fresh at first, with citrus and pink grapefruit notes. A long, sustained, flavourful finish, marked by nice pastry aromas that recall the typical scent of crème caramel.

PAIRINGS :

Charles Lafitte 1834 Brut champagne is the perfect combination of complexity and vivacity, roundness and freshness, which make it a talented pre-dinner wine, to be served with foie gras canapés and thin slices of smoked duck breast. It would also be perfect served with oily fish, such as filleted skate meunière in a sorrel cream, or a game bird in a delicate sauce.
